Committed to Supporting Persons with Disabilities

PWD Access Uganda is a dedicated non-profit organization devoted to the empowerment of Persons with Disabilities across Uganda. Our mission is to dismantle the barriers that hinder access to education, employment, and healthcare. We provide advocacy, skills training, and community services to ensure that individuals with disabilities can fully participate in society. Through our efforts, we aim to create a more inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

The journey of PWD Access Uganda began with a commitment to champion the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities. Recognizing the systemic challenges they face, we aimed to create impactful solutions that foster empowerment and accessibility. Over the years, our organization has grown in reach and capacity, solidifying our role as a leader in the disability advocacy landscape.

Advocacy Programs

Our advocacy programs aim to influence policies and public perceptions regarding the rights of Persons with Disabilities. We work closely with government agencies and organizations to promote inclusive legislation. Through community awareness campaigns, we strive to ensure that PWDs have a voice in society.

Skills Training

We offer diverse skills training programs that equip PWDs with essential vocational skills for sustainable employment. Our training sessions are tailored to meet the specific needs of individuals, fostering confidence and competence. Participants gain practical experience and are prepared to enter the job market with new skills.

Health Services

Our health services provide essential medical support and rehabilitation to Persons with Disabilities. We partner with healthcare providers to ensure accessible and quality health services are available for the PWD community. Our initiatives focus on prevention, treatment, and improved general wellbeing for all participants.
